Understand Some Side Effects Of Acne Medications much more

People with acne might will generally try anything to get rid of it. Who can blame them? With the wide variety of acne medication on the market, getting rid of acne is something that can be achieved by most people.
However, for every acne medication, there are side effects. And before you try any acne medication, it is important that you understand the risks and the possibility of side effects.

Starting with the most powerful acne medication- Isotretinoin (Accutane)

Isotretinoin (Accutane) is an acne medication that is only prescribed by a doctor for cases of severe acne. It is seen as an acne medication of the last resort. One of the reasons for this is that the side effects of this acne medication can be severe. Do not take this lightly. The side effects of Isotretinoin are so many that blood work is needed before it can be administered.

Some side effects of Isotretinoin include:

* Birth defects. This is the most serious side effect. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding may not take Isotretinoin. There are no studies about whether the risk of birth defects is the same for men, but men who take Isotretinoin are advised not to get women pregnant.
* Chapped lips

* Depression, feeling 'off'

* Urinary problems

* Thinning of the hair (temporary)

* Joint and muscle pain

* Headaches

* Dry, chapped skin

* Decrease in night vision

Antibiotics:

Antibiotics are another acne medication with some potential side effects. Many studies have appeared showing the need for restraint in the use of antibiotics. This includes using antibiotics as an acne medication.
The reason for this is simple. Frequent antibiotic use can lead to resistant strains of bacteria. This goes for acne as well. Over time, acne can become resistant to antibiotics if used as a long-term treatment.
Other possible side effects include:

* Rashes

* Photosensitivity

* Gastrointestinal problems

Birth Control Pills

There are many well-known side-effects associated with birth control pills. If used as an acne medication, be aware of these side effects, which include:

* Vaginal bleeding

* Retaining water

* Melasma

* Increased risk of heart attack, strokes, blood clots and breast cancer

* Depression

Understand Acne Program - Step 2 - Using Acne Face Creams extra

After you have washed your face with a chemical free soap, use an applicator to dip into Scotty's face cream or you favorite face cream. Place the cream on your face and spread it all around. Massage the cream into your face gently so the skin absorbs the oils in this cream.

These oils will seal the pores and hold the natural moisture of the skin and enhance the curing effects of the cream

You can use the cream 2-3 times a day. It is best to use it after you have cleaned your face in the morning and right before you go to bed. You can also use it during noontime.

You can use Scotty's' cream under your makeup or over your makeup. It will work either way. However, it will work better on a clean face.

You will notice that when you apply the cream it will tingle in areas without sores and may sting in areas of open sores. This will pass and as it does it should reduce the itchiness of any sores.

Scotty's cream has allantoin, which will help to clear acne sores. The oils, vitamin A and E, and minerals in Scotty's will help to feed, rebuild, and rejuvenate your skin. The minerals also help to neutralize the toxic acids that have contaminated and inflamed pores on your face.

During cleansing and fasting, more acid waste may come out of your pores. This is why Scotty's cream will help you to reduce the inflammation and spread your acne.

Tree Tea Oil

To make Scotty's cream or your own cream even more powerful, you can add 5-10 drops of pure tree tea oil to a two-ounce container. You can experiment with the amount to add. You may want to add more drops to provide more tea tree oil for your face. But, do not use more than 15 drops.

Tree tea oil has been found to be effective in various skin disorders. It acts as an antiseptic, antifungal, and antibacterial. This oil helps to bring oxygen to the skin cell, which kills bacteria and fungus and helps to repair damaged skin caused by acne.

Borage Oil

There is one more thing that you can add to Scotty's face cream or your favorite acne cream that will boost its acne clearing power. This is borage oil. Borage oil contains EPA and DHA, which helps to control excessive hormones that cause the over production of sebum.

It is the adrenal glands that produce streams of androgens during puberty. These large quantities of androgens help to activate bone growth and assist in bringing forth sexual maturity.

A side effect of these androgens is the release of excess oil from the oil glands near the hair follicle. This excess gives rise to

* black heads
* white heads
* pimples
* cysts

So here's what you can do to make your face cream even more effective,

* Mix one or two capsules of Borage oil into your cream
* Do this by cutting the tip off of the Borage oil softgel and squeeze the oil into the cream

There is a new form of EPA and DHA that is available in a product called Neptune Krill Oil (NKO)

Neptune Krill Oil (NKO)

NKO is the new EPA and DHA product, which maybe better to use than Borage Oil. NKO has the omega-3, EPA and DHA in the phospholipid form, which is easier for your cells to absorb compared with Borage oil. Borage oil contains the omega-3, EPA, and DHA in triglyceride form, which is more difficult for cells to absorb.

One other good property of NKO is that is does not have to be refrigerated like Borage. It can be kept in a cool place in your cabinets. However, it does cost more than Borage oil.

Word of Caution: As with all creams and oils, if you get any rash or skin reactions when using them, discontinue their use.

Use a good face cream to help clear your acne. You can boost the power of this cream by adding tree tea oil and borage or NKO oil.

Acne

Go through Acne Program - Step 4 - Adding Essential Fatty Acids to Your Diet far more

Acne Program - Step 4 - Adding Essential Fatty Acids to Your Diet

Acne

Getting sufficient essential fatty acids is importance in clearing acne. It's these fatty acids that help control the production of androgens - the hormones that surge during the teen-age times, which causes excess sebum oil to clog your hair follicle and contribute to creating your acne.

The three fatty acids you need daily are omega-3, omega-6, and omega-9. You need more omega 6, olive oil, than omega 3.

When you are deficient in the essential fatty acids, you will have,

* A weaken immune system
* Inflammatory disorders
* Poor skin
* Skin eruptions that won't heal
* Increase sebum production causing acne
* Sebaceous glands size increase

Eating essential oils is necessary to provide the right oils that are used in the sebaceous glands. These oils can come from straight vegetable oils or from oils in specific foods such as nuts and seeds.

Use flax seed oil (omega-3 oil) and olive oil (omega-6 oil) in your salad. These are the best oils to eat and are called polyunsaturated fatty acids. The other oil that is even better for you is called monounsaturated fatty acid, omega-9. This oil is found in avocados.

Most diets people have contain an excess of omega-6 oils, so mostly likely you need to concentrate on getting more omega-3 oils into your diet.

You can get omega-3 oil from,

* avocados
* sesame seeds
* pumpkin seeds
* walnuts
* dark leafy green vegetables (spinach, mustard greens, kale)
* wheat germ oil
* salmon
* sardines
* albacore tuna

Or, you can take one to 4 tablespoon of flax seed oil, omega-3 oil, each day. This will give you the amount of omega-3 oil that your body needs to reduce or eliminate acne blemishes. You can add this oil to your morning cereal, soups, smoothies, salads and other liquid foods. Each tablespoon of flax seed oil contains about 100 calories.

You can get omega-6 oil from,

* Flaxseed oil
* Flaxseeds
* grape seed oil
* pistachio nuts
* olives
* olive oil
* sunflower seeds
* evening primrose oil
* pumpkin seeds

Taking 2-3 tablespoons of omega-6 oil a day will give you the amount of this oil that you body needs. You can add olive oil and other oils into your salad with the flax seed oil.

You can get omega-9 oil from,

* Olive oil
* Avocados
* Cashews
* Almonds
* Olives
* sesame oil
* pecans
* pistachio nuts

Taking around 1 ½ tablespoon of olive oil per day will give you the omega-9 oil that your body needs.

Fish Oils

In addition to supplying your diet with omega-3 and omega-6 oils, you need to supplement your diet with fish oils. Fish oil contains EPA and DHA fatty acids.

Normally, enzymes in your body break down omega-6 into EPA and DHA fatty acids.

* Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA)
* Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)

These two fatty acids eventually change into prostaglandins.

What are prostaglandins?

Prostaglandins are chemical hormones that come from omega-3 and omega-6 oils and that help,

regulate every function in your cells and organs.

Postaglandins also keep androgen hormones in control so that excess sebum is not produce in the hair follicle, which results in acne.

However, eating plenty essential fatty acids may not insure that you produce enough EPA and DHA, which produce the essential prostaglandins.

It is critical for acne and more importantly for your health that you get enough EPA and DHA in your cells and organs so they can produce the required prostaglandins.

To increase the prostaglandins in your cell walls, it is necessary for you to take a fish supplement, which contains both the EPA and DHA.

Of course eating salmon, halibut, and mackerel twice a week will be a plus in providing your body with more EPA and DHA.

Include at least 20% of your diet calories as good fats - omega oils and fish oil. This is essential for controlling the excess activity of your hormones and reducing the inflammation of your acne.

Read Acne Before Menstrual Period - Why It Happens additional

By the time a woman reaches her early teens, she can usually tell when it is coming. It takes only a few times of completing the cycle to be able to learn how your body reacts and responds to that infamous monthly visitor, the period or menstrual cycle. Besides the bloating, cramping, mood swings, and crabbiness, many women suffer from acne before menstrual period.

Acne is a normal problem encountered by nearly all teenagers, but acne before menstrual period can increase the occurrence for teenage girls. Moreover, this problem can continue long into adulthood, causing pimples well into women's 30's.

There are many different treatments that will help with this problem. Some work better than others and some can be combined to dramatically decrease the amount of appearing acne before menstrual period. These can include medications, lotions, facial scrubs, and even a special acne diet.

Most medications for acne are available only by prescription. These can include oral medicines that are taken daily or medicated lotions that are rubbed into the skin. Over-the-counter types of prevention include facial and body scrubs to keep the skin clean and free of some bacterias that help increase acne.

Lotion type medications are often too expensive to be used before menstrual period because such acne occurs on so many parts of the body (including the face, neck, back, chests and shoulders). Additionally, many women worry about the side effects of oral medicines, which causes many to turn to an anti-acne diet.

This kind of diet will help you to avoid foods that contain hormones associated with acne, as well as other types of acne causing food. Sugar, for example, has been shown to have the potential to greatly increase instances and severity of acne.

In addition, the hormones in milk can also lead to an increase in acne production. In fact, any food with hormones in it (these include milk, and most animal products as farmers use hormones to boost their production) can cause an increase. Lastly, adding fish to your diet can help decrease your acne. Most fish has very important omega-3 oils that make your skin healthier.

Acne Before Menstrual Period - Why It Happens

Understand Acne - Treatment For Scars much more

Acne

There are many things that cause acne, and therefore many treatments for it. Even the most religiously applied acne prevention regimen or acne reduction measures can result in acne, and sometimes it results in scarring. Of course, you should try everything possible to prevent acne outbreaks from being severe in order to prevent scarring, but the truth is that some people scar more easily than others and even a mild case of acne can result in scars.

What are acne scars?

Any time there is a break in the dermis of the skin, whether from an insect bite, cut or acne, there is a potential for scarring. Did you know that skin is your largest organ? It is also a very forgiving organ, but there are just some levels of trauma from which it will not recover. Think of a paper that is torn in half and then taped back together; there is always evidence that there was a tear. The smaller the tear, the less obvious it is that it has been repaired.

In the case of acne scars, this simply refers to the scar left behind by an eruption in the dermis caused by acne. The severity of the scar depends on where on your skin the outbreak occurs and how much it traumatizes the dermis. A deep eruption within the follicle wall will damage the dermis and destroy the healthy tissue, creating a scar. The most common type of acne scar is what's known as atrophic scarring. In lay terms, it's known as pitting or pockmarking. Rather than a raised scar, the scars are indented, due to loss of tissue.

Unfortunately, most acne occurs where it is visible to everyone and difficult to cover up or hide. Acne and acne scars can create self-image issues that last a lifetime, so it's important to do everything possible to minimize the damage from both.

Acne Scar Prevention

Scars cannot be completely removed. The only real "treatment" of acne scars is to reduce the visual effect of the scar, and most treatments are temporary. Therefore, the first line of defense is, of course, prevention. If you are aware that your skin scars easily, take extra precautions to prevent acne outbreaks and to reduce the trauma to the skin when you do have an outbreak. Even if you do not scar easily, don't take any chances! Skin has wonderful regenerative properties, but scars are forever. Be especially careful if you are aware you have hypertrophic, or keloid, scarring tendencies. This is a hereditary condition characterized by scars that form in welts and take years to thin out and lie flat.

Treat acne outbreaks as soon as they develop. If you suffer severe and chronic outbreaks, go to a dermatologist for medical treatment of your acne. Sometimes, home remedies simply will not work and medical advancements in the treatment of skin conditions make it much easier to treat outbreaks and therefore prevent scarring.

Never, ever - and I repeat EVER - pick at acne when you do have an outbreak. Many times, this results in the lesion becoming larger, which increases the likelihood of trauma to the dermis. Even an eruption that occurs close to the surface can go deeper, into the dermis, if the healing process is disrupted. Scabs form to protect the skin and picking them off interferes with the skin's healing and remodeling process. Picking off scabs also increases the risk of infection, which only makes the lesion larger - and creates a bigger potential for scarring.

When you have an outbreak of acne, avoid the sun - it only causes more skin damage and a delay in the healing process. Wear a moisturizer and/or foundation makeup with sunscreen, or just apply sunscreen. Don't think you're not exposing yourself just because you aren't going to the beach or going to be outdoors much. You get a surprising amount of exposure to the sun just by driving in your car.

Treatment for Scars

You did everything you could and now you have acne scars. What next?

Acne scars are stubborn and there is no "one size fits all" treatment for them. If you have very minor scars, you can try over-the-counter treatment for them. Mild acne can often become less noticeable with the use of products that contain vitamin C, retinol or glycolic acid. These contain collagen, and collagen "plumps" the skin, reducing the visual effect of mild atrophic scarring. Skin lightening creams can reduce the discoloration sometimes left behind by acne.

Home microdermabrasion or chemical peel kits can be effective; however, don't expect the same results you would get from a professional microdermabrasion treatment. The active ingredients in over-the-counter products aren't as strong as professional-use products. Also, be aware that these can sometimes cause a reaction that may make the scars more noticeable. Proceed with caution, or consult your physician before using these products.

For more severe cases of acne scars, skip straight to the office of a trained professional - a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon. There really isn't any point in wasting your time or money on home remedies. You may want to consider laser treatment for acne scars or some kind of chemical peel. Neither will "cure" or completely remove the acne scars, but they can be very effective in alleviating the severity of the scarring.

When to get treatment for scars

If you are still having active outbreaks of acne, the continued eruptions can cause more scarring. That's not to say you can't seek treatment for scars, but a dermatologist will want you to undergo treatment for your ongoing outbreaks while discussing scar treatment. Otherwise, if you feel your scars are causing your to lose confidence, if they're causing body image or self-esteem issues, if you are socially isolating yourself because you are self-conscious about your appearance, or you feel the scars are limiting your opportunities for social and professional fulfillment - then it's definitely time to seek help.

Read What Causes Some Acne Outbreaks? far more

Acne is not just a teenage problem but is also an adult skin condition. No definitive cause has been found but there are contributing factors. The stress is both emotional and psychological. It is estimated that 80% of 12 to 24 year olds are affected by acne in one form or another. Scientists will continue to seek the ultimate solution. But, that doesn't mean you should stop looking for the solution that best fits your case.

Some outbreaks of acne can be attributed to several factors. Sebum oil, which naturally moisturizes the skin and cleanses dead skin cells, is trapped under the skin when pimples form. Over clogging of the ducts that lead from the glands from overproduction of the this oil can lead to an acne outbreak.

Hormones influence the production of sebaceous oil. Bacterial growth from excessive oil production leads to pimples and cysts. Whiteheads are formed When the oil comes to the surface. Blackheads are formed if the oil is oxidized.

Testosterone is a hormone found in both women and men.Testosterone regulates sebum production and can contribute to acne.

Common wisdom suggests nutrition may be a cause of acne. For some people it may play a role. The answer lies in each individual person. There has been no causative relationship between food and acne but some foods may increase your oil production and increase your odds of an acne outbreak. Fats and sugars can affect hormones and thus oil production.

Cosmetics can influence an outbreak of acne. Some cosmetics clog the pores. Always look for those that are labeled as non-allergenic to reduce your chances of an allergic reaction.

Keeping your skin clean can reduce the odds of an acne outbreak. Dirt does not cause blackheads. Dirt can contribute to excess oils and the clogging of the glands in the skin. A normal sanitary wash can help reduce your chances.

Certain medications can cause an acne outbreak. Cortisone and Steroids have known side effects including acne.Mainly used as anti-inflammatory drugs, these drugs have unwanted side effects. Avoid exposure if possible if you are prone to acne outbreaks.

Exciting research suggests narrow hair follicles may cause acne. The narrow hair follicles can easily block oil glands and clog pores. More research is needed but it may lead to a genetic solution to the causes of acne.

It is important to know the remedies that you can do to prevent an acne outbreak. It is not an endless battle and you will get better. Explore your options and find the treatment that fits your severity.

Understand Acne - Highly Painful And Infected Acne - 1 additional

Acne

Cysts and nodules are type of highly infected and painful acne. They cause scars and cause psychological damage. How to treat them faster? Let us find out what is highly painful and infected acne.

Let us talk about what is acne-

Acne is a disease of hair follicles. Acne is common term for the disease, which may develop in different stages. The last stage is cysts and nodules. We have hair follicles all over our body except a few places such as lips, palms and the soles of our feet. These follicles are connected with sebaceous glands. Hair grows out from these hair follicles. When the pores of the hair follicles get blocked, acne develops. The uneven shedding of skin cells blocks the pore. These cells block the pore and make sebum remain inside the follicle. This is acne.

In the first stage, acne begins as whiteheads and blackheads. Blackheads are called open comedones and whiteheads are called closed comedones. The second stage of acne is pimples or zits. They are also known as papules and pustules. Pimples form when the plugged pores get inflamed. When pimples get further infected and inflamed, the third stage of acne develops. These are called as nodules and cysts.

Cysts and nodules-

In the third stage of Acne Vulgaris, large infected and inflamed lesions form. They invariably cause scars and may also be very painful.

Nodular Acne-

A nodule is a solid dome-shaped inflamed lesion. Nodules are much bigger than papules and may be very painful. Nodules reach deeper in the skin and cause scars. Nodules do not get cured with OTC medication. Prescription medication may be required for treatment of nodules.

Cystic Acne-

A cyst is a severe form of pustule that is filled with bacteria, white blood cells, sebum and dead skin cells. Cysts can be very painful and extend inside the skin damaging the skin tissue. Cysts invariably cause a scar. Cysts may need to be drained before treatment. Prescription medication may be required for treatment of cysts. Read Infant Acne additional

Acne

When we picture a baby, we tend to have a stereotyped image of a pink, glowing little face that is almost overwhelmingly cute. The last thing we think about is pimples. And yet, the reality is that infant acne occurs on the faces of many babies. Usually it starts between three and four weeks of age, but sometimes it can even be present in newborns.

It can be a little distressing for the parents to see little red bumps all over their precious baby's face, but the good news is that infant acne is temporary, and doesn't require any treatment. However, it can stick around for a little while, and may only disappear gradually. It's quite possible that infant acne may come and go spasmodically until the baby is six months old.

I remember very well when my daughter broke out in infant acne at the tender age of three months. Her previously cute and adorable face was dotted with little red bumps, and even a good collection of whiteheads. I found it quite distressing, and so asked my doctor to tell me more about infant acne.

The doctor was very patient and helpful, and explained a lot more about this skin condition. I hadn't realised that the baby still had hormones in her system, that had crossed over while I was carrying her, via the placenta. Infant acne is to a great extent visible evidence of the hormones still being active, but it also shows that the baby is in the process of working the hormones out of her system for good.

In many ways, the baby's skin is simply going through a cleansing process, as the baby's system cleanses itself of the unwanted hormones. Different babies respond in different ways (many of them you wouldn't even be aware of), and one way is infant acne. It's all part of a natural process in the baby's system, and there's really nothing we, as parents, can do to stop it. In fact, it's important to let the process continue to the end, otherwise the baby's system may struggle to remove all the excess hormones.

Unfortunately many parents think that infant acne is caused by dirty or oily skin, and so wash baby's face more frequently to get it clean. This is actually one of the worst things you can do, as frequent washing may well result in the skin becoming inflamed. So remember that it's hormones, not oil or dirt, that's the problem. Detergents, milk and spit-up can make acne worse, so although you don't want to overwash the baby, it's important to mop up any spills quickly. Use a mild detergent, and make sure baby's face is always uncovered. Even your baby's favorite blanket can aggravate infant acne, if it's been washed in a strong detergent and is constantly held against the face.

All of this can seem a little disheartening, particularly if you are keen on photographing your baby's gorgeously cute smile with your camera at every opportunity. If your baby gets infant acne, you can expect to have that beautiful smile surround by little red dots for up to six months. But it's not worth worrying about - who's going to look at the acne when your baby's smile will completely outshine it?

Understand The Difference Between Acne and Pimples - Is There Really a Difference? more

The Difference Between Acne and Pimples - Is There Really a Difference?

Acne

Acne

People suffering from breakouts might wonder if there is a difference between acne and pimples.  It's easy to get confused when no one really has all the information and we're constantly bombarded with commercials with celebrities who say their product is the best.

In truth, there's no real difference between acne and pimples.  It's all kind of semantical.  Pimples are just one form of acne, the type of thing people think of when they hear the word acne.

Acne is a much broader category.  It includes not only pimples, but also whiteheads, blackheads, rosacea.  Also when someone says "pimple," people usually tend to think of a few here and there.  Acne tends to indicate that you have more than one breakout.  Acne tends to mean multiple breakouts all over the skin.

As I said before, it's really just semantics.  Pimples are just one form of acne; there's no real difference between acne and pimples except by how you define them.

If you're suffering from a few pimples here and there, here are a few tips to clear them up fast.

1.) Stop washing and/or scrubbing your face.  Washing your skin to often or scrubbing it will only cause more breakouts.  Your pimples have nothing to do with dirt or oil on your face.

2.)  Want a pimple to go away fast?  Mix some water with baking soda or crush up an aspirin pill and mix it with water.  Both will dry out the pimple and clear away any excess dead skin, helping it heal faster.

3.)  Drink more water.  This will help hydrate your skin and help it clear away blemishes faster.

Understand Butt Acne - How to Keep Your Rear Clear more

Most people realize that acne is probably the most common skin problem people face. And most people have dealt with acne at some time in their life, usually in adolescence although many adults suffer from acne as well. And while most people deal with acne breakouts on their face, it can actually affect any are of the body, including the neck, the back and even your buttocks. And though it might sound uncommon, butt acne is a serious problem for many people.

Butt acne is much like facial acne or other forms of acne, both in terms of how it forms, the embarrassment it can cause and the variety of ways it can be treated. In general, it is usually caused by glands in the skin producing excess oil. This overproduction of oil can eventually block the follicles causing blemishes. This is similar to what happens with facial and other forms of acne also. In addition, aggressive growth of bacteria on that part of the body can lead to clogged follicles, causing the same result.

The presence of butt acne can actually be a sign of a more serious acne problem so those with severe acne elsewhere should keep an eye out for outbreaks in this region as well. However, you should also consider whether or not the cause of the acne is actually a reaction to your laundry detergent or other products you might use when washing or drying your clothes. In some cases, this is found to be the culprit, leading to an easy solution.

There is definitely hope for people dealing with this sort of problem though. Since the causes of butt acne are similar to other forms of acne, it only makes sense that the treatments would be similar as well. If you already have acne treatments for other forms of acne, it's worth giving those a shot first since they will hopefully produce the same results on other parts of the body.

If this happens to be your first acne outbreak, you should start trying one of the many acne-fighting remedies available to see what works for you (this might take some trial and error since some people get different results).

Finally, if the legions are too painful or irritated, it's time to bring in the help of a professional, either going straight to your dermatologist or through a general practitioner first if you have to.

Whatever you do, and as is always the case with any form of acne, try to avoid picking at the acne or squeezing the lesions. This is known to cause acne to spread and cause scarring also. The situation is no different with butt acne.

Acne medication can be expensive, especially if you use prescription medication. The acne skin care industry is a multi-billion dollar industry. That gives you some idea of how much people are spending in order to rid their skin of acne. But what if you don't have that kind of money to spend on acne medications? Should you just give up and accept your acne breakouts? The answer is no because you can treat your acne for a fraction of the cost by using ingredients found in your cupboards and refrigerator.

Natural acne treatments also work well if you have sensitive skin. Some people cannot handle harsh acne medications; it leaves their skin dry and itchy and may cause a rash. Most store bought acne treatments also make your skin more sensitive to the sun causing it to burn easier. Natural acne treatments do not have any of these negative side effects as long as you are not allergic to one of the ingredients.

The following acne treatments can be made from home and you will most likely have at least some, if not all of the ingredients needed.

This first natural acne treatment is an oatmeal-based cleanser that is ideal to eliminate blackheads. All you have to do is to mix oatmeal powder with just enough rose water to form a paste that can be spread across your skin easily. Apply the paste to your problem areas and allow it to sit for about fifteen minutes. Then, simply rinse it off with cold water to help close the pores. Repeat this procedure daily for the best results.

Honey is one of the best natural acne fighting ingredients. This is because honey actually kills the bacterium that causes acne. You can apply pure honey to your problem pimples after thoroughly cleansing your skin. Keep the honey on your skin for ten minutes, then rinse off. This is a natural acne treatment that will make your pets want to lick your face!

If you are looking for a natural acne treatment that is designed to prevent acne, blackheads and pimples from forming in the first place, then you should try the following recipe. Simply apply a mixture with equal parts of groundnut oil and limejuice to your face. Leave the mixture on your skin for ten to fifteen minutes and then wash off. Repeat this daily to keep your pimples at bay.

To make pimples disappear forever mix 3 tablespoons of honey with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Apply the paste as a spot treatment wherever you have a pimple just before bed. Leave it on over night and rinse it off in the morning. Repeat this procedure for two weeks. After that, you will never have to worry about acne again.

If you want your pimples to disappear without leaving an embarrassing acne scar behind, then simply rub fresh garlic on and around your pimples morning and night. This is said to not only reduce the inflammation of a pimple but it also prevents a red mark from forming.

You may be surprised at how effective natural acne treatments can be. You have nothing to lose by trying one of the recipes above, except for your acne!

Fast Acne Treatment

Acne

Everyone suffering from acne problem is looking for a quick and easy acne treatment. They try whatever they can find, be it buying skin products, going for facial treatments or consulting a skin doctor. All these might help to alleviate the problem a little, but they do not really solve the actual problem that is deep-rooted inside your body.

There are many acne treatments and you can choose to use them concurrently. However, I would only recommend natural acne remedies. Do some of the skincare products that you see on TV works? Yes, to a certain extent. But you must remember that most of these acne treatments contain many other chemicals which will have other side effects in the future. In certain cases, it might even worsen your acne condition.

Stop acne from within your body

Most of you who suffer from acne could be due to what is going on in our bodies. You might be suffering from a food allergy that you are unaware of. In addition, our bodies are intoxicated with plenty of harmful chemicals that go into the food we eat and the air we breathe. We need to remove them using detox remedies. These chemicals might contribute to hormonal imbalance, which leads to acne breakouts. You can find many such remedies by doing an online search. Remove these toxins in your body and you will be on your way to a healthy-looking skin.

Another simple and yet effective way to treat acne is to drink plenty of water. Water can help remove the toxins in your body, thus speeding up the detox process. You should stick to drinking at least 8 glasses of water each day. Your skin will also look more radiant when you hydrate enough.

Stop acne from the outside

Look out for skincare products that contain honey. Honey is very useful in acne treatment because it contains enzymes that can help slow or even stop the growth of bacteria on your face. Honey is also rich in antioxidants, which can help remove free radicals on your face. These antioxidants can boost tissue growth, and at the same time, help in scar-healing. Opt for a honey facial mask or facial wash. It can be a little costly, but it is definitely well-worth your money. This is a natural acne treatment that you can try out.

Do not wash your face too often. You might think that washing often can help remove oil and dirt, but washing your face too often can make your skin too dry, thus allowing your oil glands to produce even more oil! This will worsen your acne condition. Use a suitable cleanser. If you have no idea what is your skincondition, you might want to consult a dermatologist first before you begin any acne treatment.

Acne

Almost everybody encounters acne at some stage in life. Without exception, all acne victims have one question in mind, "how do I get rid of these zits and have a normal skin like everybody else?" People are willing to try almost any remedy, however bizarre it may sound, to restore their skin to its pre-acne beauty instantly.

While supermarkets and chemists offer a wide selection of medications for treating acne, it takes a few weeks for these creams and lotions to produce visible results. Several homegrown remedies have emerged that promise overnight relief from pimples and skin blemishes. The ingredients for these remedies come mostly off kitchen shelves or in bathroom cabinets making them easy to access. Needless to say, none of these remedies have passed clinical trials or have an FDA approval and must therefore be used with discretion.

One remedy for overnight relief from acne recommends the application of cotton balls soaked in warm salt water after slitting the pimple open. Another involves the use of honey that is applied to the affected area and left for fifteen minutes. The face is rinsed and toothpaste is applied and left on overnight. You supposedly wake up the next morning pimple free.

An egg white has also been used with great results. It is recommended that the it be applied to the affected areas and left overnight. This procedure may have to be repeated a few times. A combination of egg white and lemon juice is said to be affective in curing acne and removing skin blemishes. The use of cotton balls soaked in vinegar and the application of strawberry leaves on pimples has produced satisfactory results for some.

Home formulas for acne also include facial masks that come in a varied and often amusing assortment. For example, oatmeal and cornmeal pastes in water are recommended by several amateur skin care researchers, and the use of mashed bananas (1/2 per mask) mixed with 1 tablespoon honey and 2 tablespoons sour cream is another sticky but viable alternative. Cucumber pastes with various additives like yogurt, strawberries and honey promise removal of skin blemishes. A mixture of powdered almonds, eggs and honey applied to the face for 15 minutes has done wonders for some, while a few have used a concoction containing tomatoes, oatmeal and lemon juice.

Basically, homebrewed remedies use raw materials that have one or the other active ingredient used in commercial medications; therefore, it is not surprising that they do produce results. One must be careful trying any of these home remedies as different skin types react differently to ingredients. It is always best to consult a doctor or skin care specialist.

Understand The Truth About Genital Acne additional

Although genital acne is no way a sexual disease, most people tend to feel ashamed and embarrassed about having such because of their sensitive location. If you feel reluctant about approaching a doctor regarding your problem, read on to learn a few basic tips about genital acne. Then see for yourself if you still need to consult with a physician later on.

THE TRUTH ABOUT GENITAL ACNE

Genital acne or folliculitis is experienced by men and women. Race and age don't matter. Although acne laser treatment is technically possible, it's best to use that as a last resort because the genital area is very delicate. Start using natural or medicinal ointments.

WHAT CAUSES IT

Genital acne can be caused by a number of things:

Dirty Underwear - If you still somehow haven't recognized the need to change your underwear regularly, now is the time to do so . Clean underwear goes a long way in alleviating the symptoms of genital acne.

Hygiene - You need to wash your private parts regularly, especially if they're frequently exposed to external elements. For example, if you hang out at the beach often in skimpy clothing, sun, sand and saltwater can wreak havoc on your skin.

Sweat - If you're the type who is very active in sports, accumulated sweat can actually cause genital acne to appear. For a natural remedy, just shower as often as you can until the acne has completely disappeared.

Laundry Soap - It is possible that the laundry soap you're using is causing your body to react negatively, leading to acne breakout on one of the most sensitive parts of your body.

USING ANTIBACTERIAL CLEANSER

Rather than go for a strictly-acne-removal-treatment, you may wish to use an antibacterial cleanser first and see how it works. Antibacterial cleansers are a safe first choice because they are specially formulated for use on private parts.

Acne Control: Natural Ways to Overcome Acne

Acne

Acne control is a struggle for many teens. This disorder comes about when the sebaceous glands, or oil glands, become overactive and produce excess oil. As a result, the pores in the skin become clogged. Acne control can be most difficult when dealing with the face, shoulders, chest, and back because these areas contain most of the oil glands.

There are many forms of acne control. Many are in the form of acne medications. Fortunately, there are several less expensive forms of acne control as well.

First, individuals needing acne control should eat healthier. Fruits and vegetables are a necessary part of a balanced diet and assist the body in acne control. Along with eating healthy foods, people also should drink lots of water to promote acne control. Doing so flushes the system and keeps the skin hydrated.

Next, taking multivitamins can assist in acne control. Multivitamins contain zinc which aids the body in acne control as well. Next, minimizing the use of makeup is another form of acne control. Wearing too much makeup can clog the pores, so limiting the use makeup can prevent outbreaks.

Another form of acne control is to use rose water to cleanse the face. People also can use a cucumber mask in order to rid the pores of excess oil. Instead of spending money on acne products these natural remedies can be just as effective for acne control.

All of these tips can be effective forms of acne control. Although they do work for some, they may not work for everyone. Before you spend hundreds of dollars on acne medications, take a trip to your local grocery store- the natural remedies you find can be your answer for acne control.

Acne is a skin condition which has plugged pores (blackheads and whiteheads), inflamed pimples (pustules), and deeper lumps (nodules). Acne occurs on the face, as well as the neck, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms. Although most teenagers get some form of acne, adults in their 20's, 30's, 40's, or even older, can develop acne. Often, acne clears up after several years, even without treatment. Acne can be disfiguring and upsetting to the patient. Untreated acne can leave permanent scars; these may be treated by your dermatologist in the future. To avoid acne scarring, treating acne is important.

No one knows exactly what causes acne. Hormone changes, such as those during the teenage years and pregnancy, probably play a role. There are many myths about what causes acne. Chocolate and greasy foods are often blamed, but there is little evidence that foods have much effect on acne in most people. Another common myth is that dirty skin causes acne; however, blackheads and pimples are not caused by dirt. Stress doesn't cause acne, but stress can make it worse.

Home Remedies for Acne

Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball, leave for half an hour and wash. Repeat for 15-20 days.

Mix lemon juice with rose water. One lemon with same proportion of rose water will do. Apply it on your face and rinse it only after 30 mins. Constantly doing so will not only get rid of acne and pimples, but it also has the effect of lightening the skin blemishes.

Mix 1 tablespoon of sour cream ( 0% fat for oily face), 1 tablespoon of yogurt, 1 tablespoon of grind oatmeal and 3-4 drops of lemon juice. Apply on face, leave for 10 minutes and wash off.

Use a mask base powder, such as fuller's earth or kaolin powder. Use distilled or filtered water to make a paste. Mix 1 heaped teaspoon of base powder to 3 drops of essential oil. Add approximately 2 tablespoons of the water in, to make a fluid yet balanced paste.

Cleaning your face by washing it in warm salty water will leave it oil-free without aggravating the acne. Cotton dipped in rose water maybe used for cleaning the skin and to remove the makeup, especially the oil-based one, since it's responsible for acne outbreaks.

Zinc may also interfere with the absorption of magnesium and iron from food and supplements. It can interfere with the absorption of tetracycline and fluoroquinolone antibiotics and penicillamine. There is also some concern that a particular diuretic, amiloride, can reduce zinc excretion and lead to a toxic build-up in the body.

Try not to touch your face. It causes trauma to acne, just like picking pimples does. Tight sweatbands and chin straps from baseball caps and sports equipment can have the same effect.

Apply lime juice and rose water on the acne affected area and leave it for 30 minutes. Wash your face profusely with lukewarm water to get perfect cure for acne.

Make a paste of 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply it on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks for permanently clearing acne.

Tomato can also be used for the treatment of blackheads and to open the pores of the skin. Cut the tomato and rub it on the skin. Leave on for fifteen minutes. Wash it off with water. This will reduce open pores and blackheads. This treatment is good particularly for oily skin.

Go through Acne Skin Care Tips extra

Most aghast teenagers address acne eruptions by manically scrubbing and dieting under the mistaken assumption that the problem is somehow related to poor hygiene or improper nutrition. While avoiding those cheeseburgers is definitely commendable for other health-related reasons, it is going to have no effect on the acne. As for skin hygiene - while increased cleansing is definitely called for, laying on a face wash of harsh toothpaste with a pumice stone is hardly constructive.

Another mistaken assumption is that astringents will discourage excess oil secretion. Astringents clean off superficial oils while causing the skin to contract, thereby clogging pores and causing long-term aggravation for short-term cosmetic benefits. The best course of action is using a mild cleansing agent to wash down the entire face, not just the fabled T zone or only acne-affected areas and regular shampooing of the hair. Oily hair will directly translate into facial oiliness, especially in people with chin or shoulder-length hair.

Most importantly, picking at or rubbing acne blemishes must be strictly avoided, since this can lead to permanent scarring and skin discoloration that will require measures like laser treatment to correct later on. Excessive exposure to sunlight is also a definite no-no, especially if one is using a compound like trenitoin that increases the skin's photosensitivity. For that reason, tanning lamps must also be given a wide berth.

Females affected with acne must rigorously scan the contents of their cosmetics before using them - only those without an oily base and with the tag 'noncomedogenic' (non-obstructing to skin pores) on the label should be used. Finally, sports headgear such as headbands and cycling helmets as well as fashion accessories that result in constriction or irritation of facial skin must be avoided./p>p>Acne can be treated and prevented by following these steps. It is likely that everyone will have at least one acne outbreak in their lives, but it need not be a cause for alarm.

Introduction

One of the scourges of teenagers as they enter and go through puberty, is acne. When I was a teenager my Dad always blamed my acne on candy, soft drinks and greasy fries. So I was limited in the amount of these foods I could have. But the acne kept on coming.

Today we know this is not true and have some theories on causes and have some sure-fire ways to clear up your acne. Here is what dermatologist believe what causes acne and how to minimize or eliminate acne.

Causes of Acne

The exact cause of acne has not been determined, but many dermatologists believe it is caused by over-active sebaceous gland (oil gland) producing too much sebum (oil) that is used to lubricate your skin and hair. This over-activity is usually caused by over-active hormones such as when a teenager is going through puberty, pregnancy, pre-menstrual and other human conditions that can up set the hormone system.

When you have too much oil being secreted by the sebaceous gland, your skins pores will tend to clog up. When this happens you will develop acne if you also have to many dead skin cells and bacteria in your pores.

Cures For Acne

One good way to keep your face clear of acne is to properly care for your face and remove the excess oils, dead skin and bacteria. Performing three easy steps can easily do this.

Twice a day you should cleanse and moisturize your face. Once in the morning and once before you go to bed. This will help keep your skin free of excess oils and bacteria.

To remove the dead skin, you should exfoliate your face once or twice a week. This will not only remove the dead skin, but will expose fresh new skin.

You may also want to shrink your pores periodically after you cleanse your skin to keep bacteria out. You can easily do this by putting your face over some warm water for a few minutes. Then rinse your face with cool water. This process will shrink your pores and help keep bacteria out.

There are other creams, solutions and electronic lights out there to help you control acne, but the process I described, cleanse, moisturize, exfoliate, will not only help remove acne, but if you continue this as a daily habit, plus use sunscreen daily, you will maintain your youthful face and prevent wrinkles.

Conclusion

Though the exact cause of acne is not exactly known, dermatologist recommend keeping your face clean by cleansing, moisturize and exfoliating the skin on your face.
